Patterns, Patterns and more Patterns

During the last couple of weeks the learners in Kererū have enjoyed making patterns with the shapes.

What do you think they could make next time?

Check them out below:

  1. Hi Kereru Learning Space. We liked the flowers and patterns that you have made with the shapes. Briana thinks they look colourful like a rainbow. Olly likes how you designed them with the different shapes and colours. Next time, you could make your names into patterns (from Toi), or you could build a person with the shapes (Akeilah), or even a rainbow (Riley).

    1. Hi Miss McLeod and your writing group, thank you for your comment. We like how Briana said that the flower looks like a rainbow and how Olly also likes the rainbow colours. Thanks Toi, Akeilah and Riley, it is such a great idea to write our names using the shapes and build people or a rainbow, we will have to try it.

  2. Hi Kererū!

Your shapes look amazing! We really like the colours - they make your flowers and stars pop! Could you make some 3D patterns with these shapes? What kinds of other shapes have you got in your classroom?
