Kererū Friday Sport


Every Friday afternoon Kererū and the year 4 children from Ruru are lucky to have Ross from Kelly Sport to teach us skills and games that will help us when we play team games like netball, football, hockey and rugby. Some of us play these in teams out of school already and just love the chance to practise these things at school. We have been super lucky with the weather so far - check out our photos of the last 2 weeks - can you guess the games we are playing?

    Kia Ora Room Kereru,
    We really enjoyed looking at your pictures from Kelly Sport and trying to guess what games you are playing. We think we know what one of the games are. Is it monsters? We have been lucky enough to have Ross from Kelly Sport come and visit us. We played monsters and ripper tag. We cannot wait to be old enough to play winter sports.

      Hi Room 2, thanks for your comment. We were surprised that you have Ross the boss as your boss. We can help you with the game we played. in some of the photos we are playing Pass the Ball and in the others we are playing Fruit Salad. it was really fun!     We really liked your blog post! We also do Kelly Sport and we even have Ross the Boss too! Our favourite game is monsters and it looks like you have been playing it too! It looks like you're playing netball. We haven't done that yet, but we might play it today, because every Wednesday afternoon, Ross the Boss comes and does Kelly Sports with us. We're actually about to go out for PE now! What a coincidence! Angel-Mey says this is the most exciting blog post that she's read from another school yet! Do you like playing monsters? What is your favourite game to play with Ross?

      We have Anna to come and play games with us for the rest of the term. We have Anna on Wednesday’s only but we play monster’s but never Fruit salad it sounds fun.

    Hi Kereru, we like that you are learning lots of different skills and games. We do P.E. in the afternoon on Friday as well as throughout the week, usually a Tuesday before lunch. We liked trying to guess the sports and games you were playing in the pictures. Are you practising netball skills in one of them? What games do you play to practise your netball skills? It looks like you are having running races- Lukus. We aren't sure what the games are called, perhaps you can let us know so that we can learn them.

    Like your blog post because you have added lots of pictures and you have made a very interesting post. I think you may be playing monsters or tag. The vests mean you have to stay away right?
