The Great Kererū Art Exhibition

After our learning space went to the Art Gallery, we decided that we wanted to create our own Art Exhibition.

Once we created our masterpieces, we moved on to creating an information report about our art, just like in the real Art Gallery. Next we decided on the format of the afternoon. We crafted emails to our families, other learning spaces and to Lady Wigram. We then learnt how to be guides around the Art.

Thank You so much to everyone that came along and shared the afternoon with us! We have put together a slide show for those of you who were not able to make it.

Our Art Exhibition Writing

On Wednesday the 12th of June at 1.30pm Kererū had an Art Exhibition. One of our jobs was to welcome people in and say “Thank you for coming to Kererū Art Exhibition”. First Kitty Hawk went down to the office and we got to pick an adult to take down and guide them to the Art Exhibition. Then Toroa came and had a look, they were the first class to visit and they thought it was amazing. Next came Ruru, they all like it too. Then after Ruru Came some of the Lady Wigram residents came and visited. Before Kotuku came we were a little bit board because there was a break were no one was there, but before long Kotuku came, they said it was really good!

  1. Kia Ora Annalise!

It is so cool that you got to show off your amazing art work to so many people - what is Lady Wigram? It looks very awesome and we really loved seeing all the great colours and smiles you have. We are also really impressed with the video that you guys made - did you have much help? It looks very professional and we like the music. What is the music that you picked? We were wondering how long did it take for you to set up your art exhibition?

    1. Hi TM2, thank you for your comment. Lady wigram is a place where grandparents go to live. They are just around the corner from us. We didn’t have much help, we did most of it ourselves. The teachers picked the music in the videos. It took us all morning to set up for the art exhibition that we had in the afternoon. From Izanna in Kererū Learning Space
