Kelly Sport

Kererū Friday Sport Every Friday afternoon Kererū and the year 4 children from Ruru are lucky to have Ross from Kelly Sport to teach us skills and games that will help us when we play team games like netball, football, hockey and rugby. Some of us play these in teams out of school already and just love the chance to practise these things at school. We have been super lucky with the weather so far - check out our photos of the last 2 weeks - can you guess the games we are playing?

Reading: Chang-o and The Moon

Using Explain Everything to share our learning During the last week of Term 1 some children in our Kōwhiringa choice group chose to read Chang-o and The Moon with Miss Skinner. This was a traditional Chinese tale that explains the story behind of the “goddess in the moon”. They were challenged to retell this story by using our skills on explain everything to make it into a movie. Check out Charlotte and Aeryn's awesome movie below!
